Spider-Man Far From Home Spoiler Free Review | @jasonbordeaux1 @solomonsporchp1

So I finally have a chance to write out my thoughts on Spider-Man Far From Home. As with most movies there are some good and bad aspects of the film. This will be a spoiler-free review and I’ll post my spoiler review next week. Let’s dive in.

Going into the film I expected to see some homage to Tony Stark since at the end of End Game we see his last act of heroism. This film has that and more. I loved the way they paid homage to many characters who are dead and alive within the MCU. The new suit designs were pretty awesome and were brought into the film in a way that did not seem inappropriate, as to just put 4 different suits just for the heck of it. Tom Holland’s acting performance has stepped up a notch since Homecoming and I can tell he is the real Peter Parker. Most of the side characters did a good job. There was a lot of high school romance, but for a Spider-Man film it made sense and was interesting. This film does do a nice job of rounding out the end of phase three of the MCU. I have to say I absolutely loved the mid-credit scene a ton. Even more than the post-credit scene.

There are a few negatives that I must talk about though. I think they should have waited until the fall season to release the film. For them to release it so close to End Game and have such a huge gap until the next was not a good decision in my humble opinion. Even though they put much more financial resources into their CG in the fight scenes, I wish they would have toned it down a bit. A lot of the fight scenes were completely CG looking, which was a turn off for me in a live action film. I got tired of Mysterio real quick. Can’t really say more without spoiling the film. I also do not like their simple explanation of the 5 year time gap left over from End Game.

With that being said, this was a good movie to see in theaters and I would go see it again. If you are a fan of the Spidey comics, this is a must for you. It was very comic booky and I really loved the mid-credit scene a ton. If you have seen it, please let us know what you thought of it without spoilers please.
