Captain America May Not Die in Avengers 4
Recently the Russo Brothers, directors of Avengers 4, said in an interview that we have not seen the last of Chris Evans in the MCU. What does that mean?
Let me start by saying Captain America has been on the top of my death predictions list since Infinity War took place. Chris Evans actually almost confirmed that in a tweet. After he finished his scenes for the film he released this tweet, “Officially wrapped on Avengers 4. It was an emotional day to say the least. Playing this role over the last 8 years has been an honor. To everyone in front of the camera, behind the camera, and in the audience, thank you for the memories!” Many initially thought this meant that Chris Evans is done due to some sort of self-sacrifice in the film. It makes since right? Captain America has always been a selfless character who would put himself in front of danger to save someone else. So between his tweet and the Russo Brothers statements about Captain America, what will actually unfold in the Avengers 4 film?
Here are a few ways Chris Evans might not be done with the role yet.
1) He could possibly show up in the MCU in a way he did Spiderman Homecoming. Something like a little sketch during the movie or in the post credits just as a comedic touch.
2) He could pop up in another film as a smaller behind the scene force like Nick Fury did in Avengers 2.
3) He may still lead the secret avengers as he has been doing since Captain America Civil War.
4) The last thing that may happen is that he does die and comes back for a prequel film. Marvel has been more comfortable releasing early dated films such as Captain America The First Avenger, Captain Marvel, and the upcoming Black Widow project.
No matter what happens, the Russo’s confirmed that Chris Evans would not be completely done within the MCU. With this news out, we Captain America fans can rest in knowing that the character is not going to rest in peace…yet.
